How the work gets made, and paid for

“We cannot make truth, it is our business only to find it… and to illuminate it.”

Dr. Samuel Johnson

McKay Daines is a DGA award-winning director, writer, and producer. His resume and expertise in film-making span over two decades and include feature films, documentaries, advertising campaigns, and cable television shows.

The pictures are originated in Utah and financed abroad. That is the whole shape of the career: Metrodome and Peter Urie in the United Kingdom, Triomphe Communications, Caedmon Entertainment, OutEast Entertainment, The Berkeley Media Group, and Tom Reeve’s Centurion in Luxembourg. He writes and produces the pictures other directors make, and directs his own.

The crews are Utah crews. “You’d be surprised at the community of Utah,” he said while making True Iran, “and the good that they want to do worldwide.”
